Linked In - I'm now part of this professional network...

So, have you heard about LinkedIn?  You can see my profile here: http://www.linkedin.com/in/tomashood - this is a way for you to network with professionals and other networking contacts, in a way where the relationship is qualified (for instance, someone that I have worked with at some point in the past).  I don't yet know how powerful this networking will be, but it does appear to have some potential.

Great News! HFRadio.org is live on the new server.

Yep, you have read correctly.  The new server, as well as the new firewall, are both running in "production" mode.  That means that they are 'live' on the Internet, providing you with the resources that have come to be so popular.

http://hfradio.org is the main site - but http://propagation.hfradio.org/ is what most folks use.  You can also access it by WAP / Mobile phone devices by going to http://wap.hfradio.org/ - so check it out with your Internet-enabled phone.

Now, I am working on getting things fixed and updated, and all the rest of the modernization that needs to happen.  But, I am just very pleased that the new server is working so well.  AND FAST -- it runs FAST.

The firewall project is not yet completed

I've tried several other "make your own" firewall ideas.  Nothing is giving me what I need, to protect the new server, while giving me the flexibility I need to deploy the server.  I will be working this coming weekend on yet another strategy.  I hope to make significant progress in this last part of the new server configuration.

I'm finding centering in my crazy life... in music... creating music.

Check out my Music space: http://myspace.com/tomashood - this is where I share in greater depth all that is happening with me, especially regarding music.  I play guitar, and some keyboard.  I also try to sing.  The mix of all of this is that I am trying to be a singer/player/songwriter.  I hope that I can use music to express what's on my heart and in my soul.  In the least, it surely helps me relax and center.
